Along with being a busy mother of two and an accountant by day.  I am a sewing junky.  I love everything about it.  It is a great stress reliever for me.

Thanks Shelly. I am always learning. I had someone else on Patternreview ask about my dressform and the padding and this was my response.

Thanks. I basically took detailed measurements of myself. I bought a medium dressform cause I knew although my measurements were much larger in the bust and waist my hips arent much larger proportionately. So I added my bra and measured my shoulder to bust measurement and placed it the same on the dress form. Padded it to fit. Then I measured myself every 2 inches down to my hip and padded matched it to the form. Last I compared myself in the mirror to the form sideways to see if I got my shape about right and tweeked it. The only difference I have with it and me is my back blades arent as flat as the form but I havent taken the time to adjust. This took alot of time but I’m pleased with the results. Oh and I used very dense batting because I wanted to be able to pin it and didnt want it collapsing. I padded and pressed on it hard and padded and pressed it some more. LOL!! It’s worked. I am thinking about changing the cover to another color black is so hard to see in my pictures especially when I make something with black fabric. Hope this helps.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m glad to help.

Wow…I can’t say enough about your choice of patterns and fabric!!! I love everything you make, BUT most of all…I love how inspirational you are. This winter I bought a ton of fabric from Fabric Mart…well, not a ton, but 79 yards, plus the “free” 6 yard bundles = a ton. LOL!!!

I live in a very small midwestern town where the ladies my age (65) and older dress in “age appropriate” clothes and colors. I felt like I had made a mistake with my choice of prints and colors, especially the ITY knits…one that is white with big black polka dots, and the other is white with big black butterflies…both also have border prints. Who in my age group…here…would wear clothes with butterflies or polka dots?

You are very young, so there’s no comparison when it comes to age, but when I saw your beautiful fabrics this morning, the prints and colors made me smile and that’s all it took to make me realize I can wear polka dots, butterflies and bright beautiful colors because regardless of age, we should wear what gives us joy. And when we have joy it’s infectious!!!!

Thank you so much for your blog!!!

I love to hear Feedback!!
